1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using DoF Mate (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

DoF Mate is an iOS depth-of-field and focus workflow app that can include:

Depth-of-field calculations (hyperfocal, near, far, total DoF)
Camera and lens setup tools
Saved presets and workflow shortcuts
Widget display of selected setup values
Optional Pro features offered through in-app purchase

3. First Launch and Paywall

The App may display onboarding and a paywall when first opened to explain available free and Pro features. You can continue using supported free functionality without purchasing Pro.

4. Purchases and Billing

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not process card payments directly. Pro features unlock based on successful entitlement validation.

Refunds, billing disputes, and subscription management (if applicable) are handled by Apple according to App Store policies. Refund requests can be submitted at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for verifying focus outcomes in your real shooting environment.
You are responsible for device setup, backups, and safe handling of your production workflow.
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or misuse the App.
You agree not to use the App for unlawful activity.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

DoF Mate provides estimated depth-of-field and focus values based on mathematical models and available camera/lens data. Real-world results may vary due to lens tolerances, sensor characteristics, calibration, focus breathing, subject movement, and environmental factors.

The App is a decision-support tool and does not replace professional camera tests, focus checks, or on-set judgment.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, text, trademarks, and branding, is owned by Wizlab and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WIZLAB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost footage, missed shots, production delays, lost revenue, or data loss.

If liability is established, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to App services or features if required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws in the jurisdiction where Wizlab operates, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
